Version 2026-10-21. These terms are an agreement between you (and the business you act for) and Abraxas Technologies (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, with its address at 50 Long St, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8000, South Africa (Reg. No. K2025597811; Director: Wilkins Morency; Tel: +27 63 874 5569; Email: support@bisimbi.com) (“we”, “us”).
Bisimbi is a business-to-business marketplace. Buyers find suppliers, send requests for quotation and compare quotes. Sellers list products and reply to buyers. The contract of sale is always between the buyer and the seller, not with us. Buyers and sellers agree payment directly; Bisimbi does not hold, receive or move money for orders.
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of the business you register. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, keep your login details confidential, and take responsibility for all activity under your account. We will ask you to confirm your email address before you can send requests or publish listings.
Buying on Bisimbi is free: buyers pay the listed price of what they order. Send requests only for goods you genuinely intend to purchase. Keep quotes and supplier information confidential to your sourcing process.
To sell on Bisimbi you must provide your business details and verification documents (such as a registration certificate, tax clearance, or director's ID). Our team reviews applications and may approve, decline, or request more information at any time. While your application is pending, you may publish a limited number of listings. All listings must be truthful, lawful, and for goods you are able to supply. We may pause or remove listings that do not comply.
Sellers can use a free allowance or upgrade to a paid plan at the prices shown on our pricing page. Plans are billed in advance in US dollars for the term you select (monthly, quarterly, or annual) and renew automatically on the same date each period until cancelled. A plan begins when we receive your payment. For consumers on quarterly or annual plans (fixed-term agreements), we will notify you at least 40 business days, and not more than 80 business days, before your plan is due to renew and remind you that you may cancel before the renewal date without penalty. Monthly plans renew month to month and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid month. Cancellation instructions are available in your account panel. If a renewal payment fails, the plan is paused and your account returns to the free allowance; listings above the allowance are paused, not deleted.
When an order is completed on Bisimbi, a marketplace fee on the order value applies that depends on the seller's plan: no plan 3%, Trader 2.5%, Merchant 2% and Sovereign 1.5%. The fee is fixed when the seller confirms the order, so a later plan change does not alter it. It is paid by the seller; buyers pay the listed price. Protected orders and trade financing are not available yet.
You can cancel a plan at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not refund fees for unused portions unless the law requires it (for example, under the cooling-off right described below or other statutory rights). If you believe you are entitled to a refund by law, contact us and we will review your request.
Cooling-off right for consumers: If you are a consumer under the ECTA, you may cancel your subscription without giving a reason within 7 days after the date of payment. This right may not apply if your paid plan began with your consent before the 7-day period ended. To cancel, use “Cancel under the cooling-off right” in your account or email support@bisimbi.com. A member of our team reviews the request and processes the refund of all payments made for the cancelled period within 30 days.
You may close your account at any time. Your listings are hidden immediately, and your business details and verification documents are deleted 30 days later, except for records we must keep by law or that the other party to a quotation or order also holds. If you have orders in progress on the platform, your account can be closed once those orders are completed.
Protected orders (Trade Assurance) and trade financing are not available yet. If they become available, they will be offered under separate terms that we will publish first.
You agree not to use Bisimbi for fraud, counterfeit or prohibited goods, sanctions evasion, spam, scraping, or any activity that harms other users or the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this clause.
You retain ownership of the information and materials you upload. By posting on Bisimbi, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content solely to operate the marketplace. Bisimbi may offer tools to help you draft requests or quotes; you must review and approve all content before it is sent, and you remain fully responsible for its accuracy and completeness.
We operate the marketplace with reasonable care and skill but do not guarantee the performance of any buyer, seller, quotation, or outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us during that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational harm). This limitation does not apply to liability arising from our gross negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under South African law.
We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes by email or via the site. If you do not agree to a material change, you must notify us and may close your account before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms. You can download a copy of these terms from bisimbi.com/terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. The courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you may have under the law of your home country.
